andrea wilson woods
CEO, Co-founder, Cancer Caregiver
Andrea Wilson Woods is an ICF Associate Certified Coach who specializes in career and business coaching; a writer who loves to tell stories; and a patient advocate who runs the nonprofit Blue Faery: The Adrienne Wilson Liver Cancer Association. Forever a Steel Magnolia, Andrea returned to Birmingham, Alabama, after living her entire adult life in Los Angeles. The following year, she founded her coaching and consulting company Build Your BLISSS (BYB). She obtained her master’s degree in professional writing from the University of Southern California, and her nonfiction writing has won national awards. In 2002, Andrea founded Blue Faery after losing her 15-year-old sister Adrienne, whom she raised for seven years, to stage IV liver cancer. Raising Adrienne has been Andrea’s greatest joy in life; losing Adrienne to primary liver cancer has been her greatest loss. With Cancer U, Andrea is able synergize her talents of writing, coaching, teaching, and advocacy. Andrea’s big audacious goal: to create a tsunami of advocates by enrolling over 1 million cancer patients and caregivers in Cancer U by 2020. Read Andrea’s extended bio.
